The We4Her Foundation, led by women and dedicated to women’s rights, focuses on advancing gender justice and equality in India. The Foundation is committed to establishing an empowering ecosystem for women. To fulfil its primary objective, the Foundation employs a three-pronged strategy:
Conducting programs, conferences, seminars, and extensive primary and secondary research on gender justice and equality.
Offering support to organizations operating in non-urban areas, recognizing their pivotal role in ending violence against women and their essential outreach to survivors at the grassroots level.
Creating a supportive ecosystem for organizations actively promoting gender justice and equality.

Crime, a relentless threat to personal safety, disproportionately impacts women worldwide. In India, a woman faces harassment every 51 minutes in public spaces (Bhattacharya, 2016). The brutal gang rape and death of 'Nirbhaya' in Delhi in 2012 sparked public outcry, highlighting the urgent need for safe public spaces. Beyond its significance for individuals, public safety profoundly influences the economy and the allure of cities. Safe neighborhoods not only boost confidence but also attract tourism and industries.
To comprehend why women perceive Delhi as unsafe, We4Her commissioned a study by The Design Village. The research aims to inform initiatives for creating safer cities in India.
